Peter Knip – Managing Director
Peter has been Managing Director since September 2015. He is responsible for community development, coordination and preparation of projects and the strategic direction of the company.
Martin Guba – Project Manager
Martin has been a Project Manager at MEPCO since 2010. He has extensive experience in leading projects focused on employee training and development of private and public sector. He was a member of several project teams to prepare and subsequently implement the construction of several development centers focusing on selection of competencies among selected employees and their subsequent evaluation and development in these areas.
Martin has participated in several international projects including: Trein (Transnational Entrepreneurs for Innovation), CEBBIS, ET-struct, or i.e Smart, from the Operational Programme Transnational Cooperation. He is particularly engaged in management and controlling of the projects. He also contributes to other important business acquisitions within the EU Structural Funds specifically in the areas of competence management, training and development. He collaborated in the preparation and implementation of several study visits of foreign experts to the Czech Republic and hosted local Czech government officials.
In the years 2006-2009 he worked at IBM and Accenture. He is the founder of the first co-working centers in the Slovak Republic.
External specialists
Tomáš Sýkora – Consultant Senior
Tomáš has cooperated with MEPCO as an external since November 2013. Since January 2015 to September 2018, he acted as CEO, whose task is primarily the internal management of the company, teams of experts and associates, and development of professional competencies. He is a Consultant Senior of MEPCO since August 2018. On the basis of his education and previous experience, he has been involved in the strategic management of urban development and the issue of EU cohesion policy. The main specialisation is the issue of integrated approaches in regional development – from Integrated Urban Development Plans in the previous programming period to Integrated Territorial Development Plans and Integrated Territorial Investments (ITIs) in the 2014-2020 programming period.
Thanks to his previous work activities, he has extensive experience in leading project teams, coordinating the activities of the working groups, public discussions, trainings and seminars. Externally, he worked as a lecturer at the university and in the years 2005-2006 he was an intern at the Foundation Robert-Bosch-Stiftung, under which he worked in Saxony at the town hall of Chemnitz and the Ministry of Economy in Dresden, where he worked on cross-border cooperation and cohesion policy.
Tomáš graduated from the Czech Agricultural University in Prague, Faculty of Economics, where he studied Public Administration and Regional Development, and completed prior undergraduate studies at the University of J.E. Purkyně Faculty of Social Economics in Ústí nad Labem.
Lenka Marková – Financial Manager
Lenka has been with MEPCO since 2006. She has been responsible for the financial control of individual projects to the overall budget of the company, control of financial planning, and cash flow. She has provided a complete human, financial and operational analysis of the company.
Currently she cooperates as an external expert.
Michal Vereščák – Strategic and Project Management
Michal has been cooperating with MEPCO since May 2015 as an external consultant in strategic development, EU structural funds and public procurement. In previous years, he served as Head of the Strategic Development of the City of Liberec and the head of the territorial department of the Office of the Regional Council (NUTS II Northeast).
Michal graduated from master studies in business economics and management at the Economic Faculty of the Technical University in Liberec.
František Podrapský – Senior Expert
František has long cooperated with MEPCO on a number of domestic and foreign projects as an external worker. He has worked as Head of the Department of Strategic Development for the City of Ústí nad Labem, where he focused, amongst other things, on preparing and implementing strategies and integrated urban development plans. Since March 2015, he has been Director of VYCERRO, The Research Centre for Competitive and Sustainable Development of Regions. He graduated from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
